Shipment inspection in Vietnam
A practical check on the goods you are about to ship, carried out by an experienced local team with years of work around Vietnam's agricultural supply chains.
What a shipment inspection covers
An inspection is only useful when the checks are agreed against your order, product specification and destination requirements. We confirm the scope first, then visit the supplier or packing site at the stage that makes sense for the goods: before dispatch, during packing, or while a shipment is being prepared.
Depending on the brief and what can be verified on site, checks can cover product appearance and condition, quantity or weight, packaging, marks and labels, packing lists, and whether the goods presented match the agreed description. We document the findings with photographs and a clear report so you can decide what happens next while the shipment is still in Vietnam.
- Product condition and visible defects against agreed samples or specifications.
- Quantity, weight, packaging condition and shipping marks, where these can be checked on site.
- Packing and shipment details compared with the order and available documents.
- Photographs, exceptions and a written summary of the findings.
Agricultural products and food goods
Our team has spent years working with agricultural supply chains and export shipments in Vietnam. That experience is especially useful with products where grade, moisture, sorting, packing and handling affect whether a shipment meets the buyer's expectations.
Relevant products include pepper, coconut, coffee, cinnamon, star anise and ginger; honey; canned fruit; and other food or agricultural goods. We also arrange checks for handicrafts and other general merchandise. The exact inspection points depend on the product and the specification you provide.
A report you can act on
Before the visit, we agree what is being checked, how samples or quantities will be selected, and what counts as an exception. Afterward, you receive the observations and supporting photographs promptly, with issues called out plainly rather than buried in a checklist.
A visual or on-site inspection is not a laboratory test or a substitute for a required certification. Where a destination, product or buyer requires accredited testing or official certificates, we identify that early and can coordinate with the relevant specialist where appropriate.
When to book
The best time is before final payment or dispatch, while there is still room to correct packing, replace non-conforming goods or clarify a discrepancy. Tell us the product, quantity, location, shipping date and the checks that matter to you; we will confirm whether the timing and scope are workable before quoting.
If this is close to what you need, tell us the specifics. We will say plainly whether we are the right partner for it, and what it would cost, before anything starts.

Which products can you inspect in Vietnam?
We have particular experience with agricultural and food products including pepper, coconut, coffee, cinnamon, star anise, ginger, honey and canned fruit. We also handle handicrafts and other goods when the inspection criteria can be clearly agreed in advance.
What do I receive after a pre-shipment inspection?
You receive a written report with photographs, the checks completed, and any exceptions against the agreed specification. We confirm the scope and reporting format before the visit so the results are useful for your decision.
Can you provide laboratory tests or official certificates?
An on-site shipment inspection does not itself provide laboratory results or accredited certification. If your product or destination requires those, we will flag the requirement and can coordinate with an appropriate testing or certification provider where available.
How much notice do you need?
It depends on the product, location, shipment date and inspection scope. Share those details and the supplier contact, and we will confirm availability before you commit to a dispatch date.
