About me
I'm Julia Vietnam.
After three years in international business, working with clients who often became friends along the way, I kept coming back to one idea: work and the rest of life shouldn't be two separate things. I don't want to switch myself on for work and off for everything else — I want to live while I work, and work as if I'm truly living it. Starry Foothold exists so this career can do both at once: help solve real problems for the people around me, and let me stay fully present in work and life, without splitting the two apart.
Starry Foothold isn't aiming for scale. It's aiming for work that's genuinely interesting, creative, and meaningful — work that makes me feel alive and connected, not just busy. Done this way, it's also sustainable, for me and for the people I work with.
Starry Foothold's own journey is only just beginning — but I believe we all have to start from somewhere.
My experience & my team
Two different worlds, one more complete view — and a team behind me, not just me alone.
Hands-on experience with Vietnam's agriculture sector — from purchasing to exporting, logistics, and operations.
Time inside a machinery factory in China, learning how equipment gets chosen and how that shapes real production decisions.
A bachelor's in commercial business and a master's in international trade — theory and hands-on practice sharpening each other, not pulling in different directions.
Along the way, I've built ties with like-minded people who complement each other as a team — so it's never just me handling everything, and we're ready to serve you together.
Working languages
Fluency, to me, isn't just word-for-word — it's tone, intention, and carrying culture across the gap.
Vietnamese — my mother tongue, and how I connect with partners, factories, and procedures back home.
Chinese — built over two years living and working in China, speaking directly with factories, no middleman interpreter.
English — sharpened over years of IELTS study, used for reports, contracts, and working with international clients.
